Update 18/3/2020 8pm

Dear Parents and Carers,

Updated details on the current situation will be provided to you via ParentMail and on the school website tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate the latest Government guidance this evening and work on a revised plan of action for you, for us, and most importantly for the children.

Several parents have already made contact about absence for tomorrow. Please continue to report in over the next couple of days so that we can adapt to what we need to do and what we need to provide.

As included in earlier communications, please also let me know if you feel your child / your family will be affected by the imminent closure in any of the ways referred to by the Prime Minister / Education Secretary in their announcements this evening.

As I've also already said, we are also encouraging you to contact us if you have concerns of any other nature, most importantly about the welfare and wellbeing of your child. We are here to listen and to help.

Our school's response to your child's continued education during our closure will come to you in more detail tomorrow. In anticipation of an eventual closure, a major operation has been underway for more than a week now to ensure that we provide you with a means of direct communcation between you/your child and the class teacher, high quality learning materials and additional extras (yes - fun stuff!!). We will also advise about delivery to children who are already off school. No child will be left out, I assure you of that. We will hand deliver to as many households as necessary.

I will contact you again shortly. My good wishes to you and your families in the meantime.
